The project is located in on the Kara-Bura River, 10 km from Karabura village, in Talas province, Republic of Kyrgyzstan.
The project included completing the remaining 28 m of the dam height, construction of spillway, access roads, grouting, operating of access tunnel, and water intake structure.
The project was completed in April 2006.
